SIP Trunking by nexVorTex

Summary

A Cloud PBX or an IP PBX needs to connect to a SIP Trunk provider a.k.a  Internet Telephone Service Provider (ITSP) to enable calls to go from your internet phone switch or Cloud PBX or IP PBX to the Cloud PBX or IP PBX or  landline PSTN switch. The quality of such a SIP Trunk provider is very important for the quality of a voice call.

nexVortex is a high quality SIP trunk provider. nexVortex has their own network of  SIP trunk switches so that there are backup switches available if one breaks down.

nexVortex's monthly fee per Direct Inbound Dial (DID) phone number (your personal phone number) becomes the best fee if you need more than four DIDs.  If you have more than ten DIDs, the NV150 plan of NexVortex becomes really cheap per DID per month. This plan gives you an unlimited amount of minutes per month.

If you have several sites that use nexVortex, NexVortex can manage the call sound quality for the different sites, and reroute the call to another SIP trunk in the network of nexVortex.

Our company will help you cho0se the right features and pricing plan.

SIP Lines versus Direct Inbound Dial (DID) Telephone Numbers

A SIP Line or a SIP Calling Path is the connection from your IP PBX or Cloud PBX to the SIP Provider, which connects to the PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) or the old phone switching company such as Verizon, AT&T, etc. A SIP line can handle maximum one active call. If a call is put on hold, and another call is taken, only one call is active. This means that one SIP line can handle this situation.

If your company needs to handle on the average six simultaneous calls, then you need six SIP lines.

At least one DID or a Telephone Number is needed to identify your business.  If certain employees want to have their own telephone number, a DID needs to be given to each one of them.

With an IP PBX or a Cloud PBX, each employee will get an active extension number.  If certain employees want to have also their own telephone number, they will need also a DID besides their extension number. You can use a passive extension number for just forwarding calls to a cell phone of an employee who is never in the office.

An example of a certain phone set up:

  • Needs

    • Your company has 10 employees who are most of the time in the office. SInce not all of them call at the same time, you guess that maximum 6 employees call at the same time. Only four employees need besides their extension, their own direct phone number or DID since they are sales people or executives who need to be called directly, and whose phone number needs to be seen by the caller for call backs.

  • Solution

    • A PBX with 10 extensions is needed.

    • A SIP trunk is needed with 6 SIP lines, and 5 DIDs (one for the business, and four for four employees). The best plan of nexVortex for this case will the Line Plan of 6 SIP lines having 6 DIDs. This will cost $180/mth if paid for one year.

Plans and Prices

nexVortex's Line Plan requires you to buy minimum 4 SIP lines. The Line Plan is  the cheapest if you need 4 to 6 SIP lines. The monthly Line Plan fee per SIP Line is $29.9 per SIP line if you pay for only one year, and drops to $24.99 if you pay for 3 years at once.

If you have more than 6 SIP Lines, the NV150 plan of nexVortex becomes a better plan. The monthly fee for one year plan is $199, which is $28.5 per SIP line for 7 SIP lines. There is no limit on SIP lines! You could have 15 SIP lines or 15 simultaneous calls!  That is about $14 per SIP line. However there is a maximum of 10 DIDs, and a maximum of 5000 mins of inbound calling and 5000 mins of outbound calling in total. You can buy additional DIDs and calling bundles as seen below. Two Internet Connections to Your Site

Having voice calls coming through 99.999% of the time, is a common requirement. This requires a very good internet connection 99.999% of the time. Relying on just one internet connection (cable or fiber) is risky. Therefore a lot of companies have two internet connections. Each one from a different Internet Service Provider. This is even more crucial when you have a cloud ERP like Acumatica, an online collaboration and communication solution like MS Office 365, and other online applications. Two internet connections in your office require a special router as discussed in our router webpage . The AdTran router is an alternative. The AdTran router can also take voice calls from a PRI and convert to SIP for the IP PBX,
