EazyStock: Inventory Management ISV Application

Summary

The EazyStock inventory management does the following:

  • Forecasting demand using different forecasting methods depending on your past demand trends/pattern

  • Calculates:

    • The ABC analysis of your inventory

      • For instance: 20% of your items contribute to 80% of your sales. Such an analysis will advise you which items you should phase out. This alone can save you $ xx,xxx, xxx ! On the other hand, it tells you which items your should stock more so that you will deliver on time the right quantity of an item to a customer. Just watch the video below over and over again, and you will realize the great value that this application can bring to your company.

    • The safety stock level

    • The re-order point

    • The optimal order quantity

  • Determines the SKU demand patterns

  • Help you with your Purchase Order proposals: It tells you when to order an item and how much.

  • Reporting

  • KPIs

The calculations mentioned above are complex, and optimize your inventory. This is not done in the Acumatica Cloud ERP.

This application is straightforward when your demand volume has a steady demand pattern or a certain repeating pattern. This is the case when your company sells consumer items or commercial items with a regular large demand. Especially when you have always a large stock on hand, this application can save you a lot of money, and improve customer satisfaction.

When you have a seasonal demand, and/or when promotions may impact the demand, more market segmentation and product segmentation needs to be done. For instance in the distribution of foods and beverages, a lot more wine is consumed during Christmas time, a lot more turkeys are eaten on Thanksgiving, a lot more blueberries are eaten when the blueberries are ripe, etc. Eazystock provides for forecasting demand per market segment. The video from Blue Ridge explains the issues with seasonal and promotional demand.
